YMSC Discipline Policy v.1

YMSC can’t stress enough the importance of the Islamic behavior among all the players. Our coaches do their best to monitor kids’ behaviors and they take it seriously when issues are reported to them. The purpose of this club is to create a safe Islamic environment where kids can enjoy the sport. YMSC therefore has zero tolerance for abuse or misconduct. We are committed to providing a safe environment free of abusive conduct of any form.


Guidelines for player's behavior:

It is a privilege to play on a team and to be a part of YMSC. Therefore, all players must follow the YMSC rules during all soccer activities including practices, games, and other organized soccer activities. In order to remain a player in good standing the player will follow the following rules and guidelines:

 

·         Treat teammates, opponents, coaches’ officials, and spectators with respect.

·         Show good sportsmanship before, during, and after training and games.

·         Respect Coaches and accept their decisions.

·         Win without boasting, lose without excuses.

·         Encourage parents and spectators to show respect and good sportsmanship.

 

Consequences of violating club policies: 

 

Minor violations

 

Includes but not limited to:

·         Constant disruption of the learning environment

·         Persistent dissent or disrespect to teammate, coaches, opponents, and referees.

·         Careless treatment of equipment or personal belongings

·         Casual disregard for practical, personal safety matters

·         Minor bullying

·         Minor verbal altercations

·         Overtly negative or unsporting conduct

·         Defacement of the soccer environment, surrounding natural environment, and/or property

·         Willful neglect for practical, personal safety matters

Sanctions includes but limited to: 

·         Players are subject to reasonable discipline at the coach or club’s discretion (running laps, writing an apology, etc.).

·         Players may be suspended from training or games for a length of time commensurate with the gravity of the offense.

 

Major violations

 

Includes but not limited to:

·         Persistent infringement of Minor violations

·         Grave social media misuse

·         Harassment

·         Hazing activities

·         Severe bullying

·         Physical altercations / violent conduct

·         Escalated or prolonged verbal altercations

·         Intentional and significant defacement of the soccer environment, surrounding natural environment, and/or property.

·         Substance abuse

·         Blatant reckless endangerment of self or others

Sanctions includes but limited to: 

·         Players will be suspended from training and games for a week, and they will be given another chance to be back after that.

·         If Players get involved in a major violation again, they will be suspended from YMSC for good, and they won’t be able to register again.
